acha (fonio) 4 cups
groundnut oil or palm oil (1/2 cooking spoon)
tomatoes
pepper or chilli
onions
fish (preferably smoked)
meat (any of your choice)
maggi ( 4 cubes)
salt (1/4 tablespoon)
scent leaf
green beans
carrot
Procedure
- wash the fonio with warm water to remove any impurities in it
- blend the tomatoes, onions and pepper together then fry it in the groundnut oil
- add about 50cl of water, add salt, smoked fish, maggi and scent leaf, allow the water to boil
- add the fonio into the boiling water, keep stirring until it becomes thick
- reduce the heat to a very low temperature and allow it to cook for 20-30 minutes
- add meat, green beans and carrot and allow it to cook for 3 minutes
